Quagga

Simply calling Quagga a bookshop is trivialising its notability. I don't think there are sufficient adjectives in the thesaurus to adequately describe its worth. I have waxed on previously here. Put it this way, all I would need is a decent bed, and I could move in quite happily...

For bibliophiles, Quagga Rare Books and Art in Kalk Bay should not be overlooked on the literary map. Dealers in Africana, antiquarian and out-of-print books, maps and first editions (even taxidermy), they are always dead-on in terms of sensibility and visual merchandising. I always make a point of taking snapshots of their window. It is a bit like an ever-changing museum of natural history...
