The Anne Wagner Book of Friendship

Anne Wagner’s friendship chronicle contains entries made between 1795 and 1834. The handcrafted cover includes its creator’s name and the book’s title: Memorials of Friendship. So beautiful - a fine example of the sweet sentimentality that is Victorian scrap-booking...

Jeffers has also created charming 'sketchbooks' - From Sketch Book 1...

From Sketch Book 2...

And also this fabulous illustration for The Brooklyn Circus...

Botanicals...

I am definitely having a small (er, make that GIANT) love affair with illustration this week. I keep coming across such delicate, intricate examples. Like Herbiers by artist Joanna Concejo...

I found this gorgeous image via Pinterest, but have yet to find the artist or origin. Investigation pending...

And three (of the many) illustrations from Historia Naturalis Palmarum by F.P. Von Martius...
